Cantilever Chaos

Monday.... Today we learned what a cantilever is a rigid structural element, such as a beam or a plate, anchored at only one end to a (usually vertical) support from which it is protruding. We also learned more Spanish words like el pan mean the bread and pollo means chicken.
Wendsday... We started are cantilever with 50 straws we had to hold 5 marbles, are's was able to hold 20 marbles. We also had to use Engineering design process to make the cantilever Tuesday... I was so happy because we were able to look at mosquitos under a microscope. The were so hair and creepy and scary. We also looked at hair and plants under the microscope. later we worked on are cantilevers again and had to restart on are cantilever because it was not strong enough, so we started a new design with ALSO DIDNT WORK. We didn't know what do do now because all of are designs were not working so I had a idea to make a new idea with was able to hold 50 marbles but it was almost not long enough, but lucky it was just the right size.

All this talk of Spanish food makes me miss Mexican food from San Diego. Keep up the good work and keep trying different experiments, you will get it eventually.

Well, Jenna you are going to be so smart. You will have to start teaching me. We will see if you can teach an old dog new tricks. (-:
Keep up the hard work.
