Monday.. we started our roller coaster project. We could only use copy paper, paper towel rolls, index cards, cereal boxes, and tape. It is was not easy. We started to researching different roller coaster shapes and designs. It was so much fun to look at other kids roller coaster designs.
Wednesday .. We were learning about the scientific method and the similarities and differences between the engineering and design process. For our demonstration, we saw a foam cup get put in acetone, and it melted! After it melts it turns into a white plastic!
Friday... Friday is my favorite day of the week. We started to make a catapult that could throw a marble super far. I was by myself, and it was fun until it broke
so I had to try and fix it in 30 minutes; it was hard. I got it done and tested it. It when super far! I thought I would do very well, until Logan tested his; it went SUPER FAR! It beat me by a mile! But, I was able to get a one hundred on it from being second place.

Jenna ,
All the cool things that you are doing at school makes me want to go back. I never thought about foam cups before , but it was very interesting to find out that it turns in to plastic. The catapult sounds like it was a real fun experience, I wonder a little if it didn't break it it would of sent the marble even farther! But a 100 for the experiment isn't bad ;-) ...Were there a lot of differences and similarities between the engineering and and deign process? Love you keep up the fanatic work! Love hearing about it! Love Nonnie
